French hand painted faience plate showing grotesque mascaron made by Geo Martel in Desvres late 19th century. It's signed MC on the back. 9" (22.8cm) diameter, 1 1/4" (3.2cm) depth. Perfect condition, a few original glaze shortage on the edge, as shown by the following pictures.
