Revival Large Ewer Cherubs Faience Nevers Montagnon 1900
Large ewer with tray in hand painted french faience made by Albert Montagnon in Nevers during the 1900's. The ewer or aiguiere has a chimera shaped handle and a head of ram in front. The hand painted decor shows cityscape and cherubs in landscape. They are signed on the back with the green knot and A Montagnon. 15 5/8" (39cm) height for the ewer and 12 3/4" (32,5cm) diameter for the tray.Good condition the chimera handle and the lip of the ewer, the tray is in perfect condition, as shown by the following pictures.
