The Ankou scythe, Celtic Folk Art, hand cut carved wood with bagpipe player, Bretonne praying, key of life and snake on vine made in Vannes , south Brittany, during the 1950's. 51 1/8" (130cm) height, 26 3/8" (67cm) width to the top, weigth 11lbs (5 kilograms). Perfect condition, the scythe will be dismantled

Faux de l'Ankou dite de St Avé, Art Populaire Breton, en bois richement sculpté et ajouré à décor d’un pampre et d’un serpent s’enroulant autour du manche, se terminant perpendiculairement à la lame par une main tenant une clef. Les poignées sont représentées par un breton jouant du biniou et une bretonne en prière. La lame est évidée et repercée. Hauteur 130 cm, largeur à la lame 67 cm, poids 4.990 Kg. Très bel état.
